ABOUT NETWAS-UGANDA
Network for Water and Sanitation (NETWAS Uganda) is a local non- profit-making organization that was registered in Uganda in 1996 to provide services in the water supply, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector. NETWAS Uganda is affiliated to NETWAS International, which is part of the international training network (ITN) for water and waste management, which supports the activities of the sector in developing countries. ITN Africa Network plays an active catalytic role in the water and sanitation sector development activities in Africa.
NETWAS Uganda contributes its part to enhancing water supply, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector capacity (numbers, knowledge and skills) and also carries out social mobilization, research and dissemination of information in the field of water supply, sanitation and hygiene from national level to grassroots level in both urban and rural areas.
NETWAS Uganda operations cover all the geographical regions of Uganda. NETWAS Uganda has a standing working relationship with NETWAS International that allows for partnership in technical support in the whole region of East and Southern Africa.
